Prince Edward GOP Chooses Nominee for Treasurer

On Saturday, October 6, 2012, Republican voters in Prince Edward held a mass meeting at Charley’s Waterfront Cafe in Farmville to elect a nominee to run for Treasurer of Prince Edward County in the December 11, 2012, special election. As of the 5:00pm deadline on Friday to file to be a candidate in Saturday’s mass meeting, only one candidate had filed. H.D. “Brock” Robinson, Jr., was unanimously and enthusiastically elected to be the Republican nominee after endorsements for him where made by members of his family, coworkers, and longtime friends.

“We look forward to facing the other challengers in this special election and talking about how we will make improvements and provide better service and accountability to our neighbors and fellow citizens of Prince Edward County,” said Chairman Bradshaw.
